New state laws on texting while driving could be changing. The Virginia State Crime Commission will consider proposed legislation to make the laws tougher. Amendments are possible to make it clear texting while driving could be considered reckless driving. The commission will also consider creating an enhanced penalty for traffic violations which are committed while texting.
